Fake SMS about traffic fines are once again targeting Cyprus
Cyprus police report a new wave of fraudulent messages. Residents of the island are receiving mass fake notifications about traffic fines. Most often, such messages arrive via messengers or social networks. Inside, there is a link for "payment," clicking on which may lead to theft of money or personal data.

Law enforcement authorities remind:
- ignore suspicious messages and links;
- never enter personal or banking information;
- check fines only through official resources.
Where to check and pay fines:
All fines recorded by cameras can be checked through the official website of the photo-enforcement system contractor — CyCameraSystem.com.cy. To do this, you need to enter the vehicle registration number and ID/ARC/company number.
Fines can only be paid through official government resources — police.gov.cy or the payment portal jccsmart.com.
Police emphasize: using third-party links and websites is unsafe.
