Indian billionaire dies from a bee sting
Indian billionaire Sanjay Kapur died while playing polo after swallowing a bee. The insect flew into his mouth and stung his throat, causing anaphylactic shock and cardiac arrest.
Experts say internal stings can be fatal as they cause instant swelling, airway blockage, and a sharp drop in blood pressure, leading to cardiac arrest.
Sanjay Kapur was close friends with British Prince William, and was the son of Rani Kapur and the late Surinder Kapur, founder of Sona Group, and was a key figure in the Indian auto parts industry.
Sanjay Kapur's net worth was estimated at $1.2 billion. The billionaire was among the richest people in the world.
