Irish low-cost carrier to resume flights from Israel to Cyprus
Regular air travel between Cyprus and Tel Aviv will resume. This became possible after Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport resumed operations.
The upcoming resumption of flights was announced on Sunday by the Paphos Regional Tourism Council (Etap), citing an announcement from the Irish ultra-budget airline Ryanair.
According to the airline's statement, starting from June 3, four weekly flights will operate from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to Paphos.
According to Etap, the resumption of air travel demonstrates the potential for the recovery of the Israeli market.
According to experts' estimates, due to the suspension of flights, Cyprus may miss out on up to 100,000 travelers in the first five months of 2024.
In 2023, Ryanair operated up to 17 flights to Paphos per week.
