Italian Parliamentarian to Author Report on Varosha
Italian parliamentarian Piero Fassino is currently on a working visit to Northern Cyprus. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has assigned him the task of writing a report on the closed city of Varosha.
Yesterday, the politician concluded his official engagements in the Republic of Cyprus and arrived in the TRNC this morning. As part of his trip to Northern Cyprus on May 15th, Fassino plans to visit the main purpose of his visit – Varosha.
According to the statement from the Republic Assembly, during Fassino's visit to the closed city, he will be accompanied by the head of the PACE delegation, UBP deputy Oguzhan Hasipoglu, and CTP deputy Armagan Kandan.
It is anticipated that Piero Fassino will also visit the Famagusta Municipality, hold a meeting with TRNC President Ersin Tatar, and visit the Real Estate Commission.
