Five Injured in Limassol Fire
A large fire broke out this morning in a residential building in Limassol, leaving five people injured.
According to the police press office, the fire started just before 7:00 AM in a building in the Agios Ioannis area. A flat on the second floor caught fire, and the flames quickly spread throughout the building.
One resident became trapped in a room engulfed by flames but was rescued using a ladder from outside.
The other four residents managed to escape the building through the main entrance. All five were taken by ambulance to the emergency department of Limassol General Hospital for evaluation.
The fire caused significant damage to both the building and the residents’ belongings.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the relevant authorities.
