The Carnival in Limassol gathered a record number of visitors and participants
On Sunday, the ten-day carnival festivities in Limassol came to an end. Despite the rainy weather, the island's main event of the year attracted a record number of participants and spectators.
The grand final parade started on the central streets of the city at 13:00 and lasted for five hours. The procession concluded at 18:00.
During this time, 120 floats passed by the visitors, with the total number of participants estimated at 30,000 people.
The Limassol Carnival itself ended on Sunday evening at 21:00 with a festive party in the old port.
