Charalambides Christis receives AIB International certification
The Cyprus-based dairy company Charalambides Christis has received AIB International certification following a comprehensive audit conducted by an independent international commission.
The certification, one of the globally recognised standards in food safety and quality, confirms the company’s compliance with strict control procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety requirements at all stages of production — from facility hygiene to the management of raw materials and finished products.
The company’s announcement notes that receiving AIB International strengthens its commitment to industrial excellence, transparency, and continual improvement of production processes. The company’s CEO, Marios Constantinou, emphasised that the certification was awarded after a long and intensive inspection by the international commission and described it as recognition of the company’s professionalism and dedication to quality. He also highlighted investments in modern equipment, staff training, and the implementation of comprehensive quality control procedures, adding that the company will continue investing in innovation and production reliability.
The new certification adds to the company’s existing list of international standards and certificates, including ISO 22000, BRC, IFS (since 2010), Organic (Lacon, since 2011), Halal (since 2015), PDO (since 2022), McDonald’s SQMS (since 2009) and SMETA/SEDEX (since 2019). For residents of Cyprus, this means an additional guarantee of compliance with safety and quality standards for the products produced by the company.
