Cyprus’s Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, is on an official visit to Croatia, where the two countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education.

Before the signing, Kombos held a productive meeting with Radovan Fuchs, Croatia’s Minister of Science, Education, and Youth. This meeting marked the official start of his visit. The Cypriot minister traveled to Croatia at the invitation of Gordan Grlić Radman, Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs.

According to an official statement, discussions in Zagreb will focus on the Cyprus issue, as well as strengthening bilateral relations, key topics on the European agenda, and developments in the Middle East and Ukraine.

Later today, Kombos is set to meet one-on-one with his Croatian counterpart, followed by broader consultations involving delegations from both foreign ministries. He will also be received by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

As part of his visit, the Cypriot Foreign Minister will deliver a speech at the Diplomatic Academy of Croatia’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
