Cyprus is the EU leader in AI usage among youth
More than 75% of young people in Cyprus use generative artificial intelligence tools. This is evidenced by Eurostat data for 2025.
According to statistics, 76.5% of Cypriots aged 16–24 used AI tools last year—the highest rate among EU countries. The EU average stands at 63.8%.
What youth use AI for:
- 44.2% — for personal purposes
- 39.3% — for studies
- 15.8% — for work
For comparison, among the total EU population, only 9.4% use AI for educational purposes.
