Cyprus Announces Its Eurovision 2025 Representative
Cyprus has taken the lead by becoming the first country to announce its contestant for Eurovision 2025. The singer Evangelos Theodorou, known by his stage name Theo Evan, will represent Cyprus at next year's competition in Basel.
Theo Evan, who hails from Nicosia, first gained experience singing in his school choir before moving to the United States. There, he studied music and performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
In 2021, he released his debut single "The Wall" and later appeared as an extra in the TV series "Euphoria."
The specific song Theo Evan will perform at Eurovision is yet to be announced.
Theo Evan will be the 41st representative of Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year, Australian-born Celia Kapsis placed 15th with her song "Liar."
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, with the final scheduled for May 17.
