Cyprus Ranks 10th in the Eurovision 2025 Favorites List
The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation has officially announced the country’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, the honor of representing the island goes to the talented young artist Theo Evan.
Theo has already made a strong impression on the public, particularly with his performance in the Greek national final, where he performed the iconic song "Fuego." This track secured Cyprus second place in the 2018 Eurovision contest, alongside Eleni Foureira.
Theo Evan will perform in the first semi-final, scheduled for May 13 in Basel, Switzerland. According to bookmaker rankings, as of the morning of March 12, Cyprus is among the contest’s top contenders, holding 10th place.
Greece will be represented by Klaudia Papadopoulou with her song "Asteromata," currently ranked 15th.
The top three positions in the rankings are held by Sweden, Austria, and Israel, followed by France and the Netherlands.
The 69th Eurovision Song Contest in 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, following Nemo's victory with "The Code" at last year's competition in Malmö, Sweden. This will be Switzerland's third time hosting the event.
