Cypriot dancer Dinos Kkanti has broken a new Guinness World Record for his unique glass-balancing dance. The celebration took place Tuesday evening at Apostle Loukas Square in Aradippou, where hundreds of locals gathered to support their hometown hero, all while enjoying live traditional Cypriot folk music.

Dinos amazed the crowd by balancing 416 glasses on his head—smashing his previous record of 319 glasses set in 2022 by a staggering 97. He dedicated this incredible feat to the memory of his late brother, Zacharias.

“I wanted to break this record right here in my hometown, in this square—and I did it. Everything I achieve is in memory of Zacharias. I’m so proud that the whole of Aradippou came together tonight. We showed what community really means,” he said after his victory.

The record-breaking performance was part of the municipality’s Easter festivities, which featured live music, traditional dance performances, and special appearances from artists like Andri Karantoni and musician Michalis Hadjimichael.

Aradippou Mayor Christodoulos Partos praised the achievement, calling the night “a double celebration” for both the town and its talented resident.

While early estimates suggested that Dinos may have balanced as many as 468 glasses, the official number will be confirmed by Guinness World Records after a thorough review of the event footage.
