Two teenagers arrested in Nicosia after series of shop burglaries
Nicosia police have detained two minors — aged 15 and 17 — on suspicion of a series of crimes committed between March 29 and 31.
According to the investigation, the teenagers are involved in four incidents, including conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary, theft, and malicious damage to property.
The cases involve the burglary and theft from two shops and one restaurant, as well as an attempted break-in at a supermarket where the perpetrators damaged the property.
Cash and various items worth over 1,500 euros were stolen from the shops and restaurant. Additionally, damage was caused to all premises, with the total loss exceeding 800 euros.
The detainees are expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court for a remand hearing. The police investigation continues.
