A Cypriot from Australia will present the song "Liar" at Eurovision
Sixteen-year-old Australian Cypriot Silia Capsis will present the song "Liar" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden.
The composition, written by Demetris Kontopoulos and Elke Til, will represent Cyprus at the 68th contest in Malmö. The music video for the song, directed by Kostas Karidas, will be released on all platforms on Thursday.
"In the video, shot for the first time in many years in Cyprus, we see through the eyes of Cypriot representative Silia Capsis a series of repressive situations imposed by the false world and the dark side of social networks," the statement says.
The video will also feature choreography with which the song "Liar" will be presented on stage, under the direction of renowned choreographers Guy Groove and Kelly Swain from Los Angeles.
The video will be available on rik.cy from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, and the premiere will take place on the official Eurovision channel on YouTube at 7:00 p.m.
