The Cyprus Resuscitation Council has launched an information campaign for World Restart a Heart Day.
The Cyprus Resuscitation Council began an awareness campaign in Cyprus for the Public Day of Cardiac Resuscitation, starting with a press conference on October 7, 2025. The campaign involves the Pancyprian Medical Association and the Pancyprian Association of Nurses and Midwives.
Founded in 2004 as a non-profit organization and a member of the European Resuscitation Council, the Council aims to improve survival after cardiac arrest through the training of professionals and the public. The announcement highlights the organization’s participation in major European registries EuReCa I–III and its advisory role to state authorities on training and resuscitation measures.
As part of the campaign, a video clip has been prepared demonstrating the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator. The actions began with the press conference on October 7 and will continue with events on October 16 and 19, 2025, dedicated to World Restart a Heart Day.
The text emphasizes the importance of a rapid response: the goal of the campaign is to inform and mobilize citizens to improve survival rates in both out-of-hospital and in-hospital cardiac arrests. The video is available on the Cyprus Resuscitation Council’s YouTube channel.
