Major thefts in Paralimni and Ayia Napa: damages exceed €300,000

The Cyprus police are investigating two major thefts that occurred in the Paralimni and Ayia Napa areas, with total losses exceeding €300,000.
According to the police, approximately €100,000 in cash was stolen from a residential building in Paralimni. It is believed that the robbery took place between Saturday and Sunday, with the exact time under investigation. The circumstances of how the house was entered have not yet been disclosed.
Additionally, at around 04:00 on Monday morning, a theft occurred at a jewelry store in Ayia Napa. Unknown individuals stole jewelry and valuable items worth approximately €200,000.
The police do not rule out a possible connection between the two incidents. Surveillance footage is being analyzed, and statements and evidence are being collected. The investigation is ongoing.
