Lions Clubs of Cyprus and Greece deliver mobile fire units for mountainous areas

Today, the Lions Clubs of Cyprus and Greece delivered two mobile fire-fighting units in the Skarinou area, intended for the communities of the mountainous regions of Limassol and Larnaca.
In a joint statement, Lions Clubs Cyprus and Lions Clubs Greece noted that this initiative represents the second package of humanitarian aid from the clubs following the delivery of essential items to those affected by the devastating forest fires in summer 2025.
It was highlighted that the mobile fire units are being provided to strengthen preventive measures, increase preparedness, and ensure rapid response by communities in the event of natural disasters.
According to the report, the equipment was handed over by Governor of District 117B “Northern Greece – Cyprus” Panayotis Synodinos together with the Chairman of the Lions Committee on Natural Disasters, Yorgos Lakkotripis.
