Legendary British rock band Jethro Tull to perform in Larnaca on September 22
The British band Jethro Tull will give a concert at the Pattichion Municipal Amphitheater in Larnaca on September 22, 2025. According to organizers, the event will take place as part of the group’s world tour and marks the musicians’ first visit to Cyprus in the past 14 years.
The show in Larnaca will follow the band’s performances in Brussels, Liège, and Athens. After Cyprus, the tour will continue across the Nordic countries. The last time Jethro Tull played in Cyprus was in 2011, at the Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia.
The current lineup of the band consists of Ian Anderson (flute, guitar, vocals, mandolin, bouzouki, harmonica), Joe Parrish-James (guitar, vocals), Scott Hammond (drums), John O'Hara (keyboards, orchestration, accordion), and David Goodier (bass, vocals). Jethro Tull are renowned for their fusion of rock, folk, jazz, and classical music, as well as their use of the flute as one of the main instruments.
The group has existed since 1968, released over 30 albums, and sold more than 60 million records worldwide. Among their landmark albums are "Aqualung," "Thick As A Brick," and their latest release, "RökFlöte" (2023), inspired by Norse mythology. According to the musicians, a new album is planned for release in 2025.
The concert will begin at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are available online. For residents and visitors of Cyprus, this is a rare opportunity to hear a legendary band—comparable in scale to Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones—live. The event is expected to draw a large number of fans, so it is recommended to purchase tickets and plan your visit in advance.
According to the experience of previous years, large-scale musical events like this during the summer season contribute to the island’s cultural life and boost the flow of tourism.
