Courier from Bangladesh tells of attack on him in Nicosia

A 27-year-old courier from Bangladesh, who has lived in Cyprus for six years, told of an attack he suffered while working as a food delivery driver.
According to the man, the incident occurred about a month ago late in the evening on one of the central streets of Nicosia. When he stopped at a red traffic light, two young men approached him, began to insult him and spit in his direction.
The courier tried to drive away, but soon stopped again at a traffic light. At that moment, one of the attackers kicked him in the helmet, causing the man to fall off his motorcycle. After that, according to him, a group of 7-8 people began to beat him, punching and kicking him.
The attackers also kicked the motorcycle and tried to open the delivery box, presumably attempting to steal something.
The man suffered several bruises, but serious injuries were avoided. After the incident, passers-by helped him.
The courier admitted that he did not go to the police because he fears the consequences. According to him, many of his courier acquaintances have also faced attacks on the streets, especially in the evening.
