LGBTQIA+ communities of Cyprus will hold a joint march in Nicosia on September 27

On September 27, 2025, the fourth annual United by Pride march will take place in Nicosia, organized to support the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community and to demonstrate solidarity between residents of both parts of the island.
The marches will start simultaneously at 18:00 from two points: Eleftheria Square in the southern part of the capital and Kuğulu Park in the northern part of the city. The two columns will meet in the buffer zone near the Ledra Palace hotel — a location that symbolizes the division of Nicosia and at the same time serves as a platform for dialogue and cooperation.
The organizers emphasize that "United by Pride" is not only a celebration but also an act of political and social expression. The goal of the event is to draw attention to the need to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as to highlight the value of equality, peace, and collective justice.
After the march, a cultural program will take place in the buffer zone: performances by musical groups, DJ sets, and theatrical productions. In addition, in the days preceding the march, additional themed events are planned.
According to the organizers, the event aims not only to strengthen the visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community but also to promote the idea of reunifying the island and building a society based on respect and equal rights for all.
