Meteorological Service Issues Second Yellow Storm Warning
The Cyprus Meteorological Service has issued a second yellow warning for severe storms in Cyprus; it is in effect from 03:00 to 17:00 on Thursday.
According to the service, strong isolated thunderstorms with hail and squally winds are expected to affect the island throughout the day.
In the morning, storms will mainly occur in the western, northern, and southern coastal areas. By midday, they will move to the mountainous regions, eastern parts of the island, and inland areas.
The expected rainfall intensity ranges from 35 to 55 millimeters per hour.
The warning should be considered as an indication of an increased likelihood of hazardous weather during the specified period. Official updates and possible additional warnings will be published by the Cyprus Meteorological Service.
