Young Woman Dies in Car Crash in Larnaca
A young woman tragically lost her life in a car accident in Cyprus over the weekend. A farewell ceremony is scheduled for April 29.
According to police reports, the accident occurred early Sunday morning. At around 3:00 a.m., 22-year-old Xenia was driving towards Larnaca Airport. Near the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque, she lost control of her car and crashed into another vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man.
Emergency services and police quickly responded to the scene. Xenia was rushed to the hospital, but despite doctors' efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Saint John the Russian (Agios Ioannis Rossos) in the Larnaca area.
