One in Three Plastic Toys in Cyprus Fails Safety Standards
Inspections of plastic toys in Cyprus have yielded alarming results: approximately one in three units tested failed to meet safety standards for chemical content.
The inspections were conducted as part of consumer product safety monitoring. Specialists analyzed the products for potentially hazardous chemical compounds that could pose a health risk to children.
Authorities urge parents to pay close attention to labeling, the product's origin, and certificates of conformity. In cases where violations are found, measures are in place to seize the products and impose sanctions on suppliers.
