Dust Returns to Cyprus: Weather Forecast for May 22
The Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that Thursday, May 22, will be marked by weak high-pressure conditions and a relatively warm air mass over the region.
Dust is expected to return to the atmosphere, with concentrations likely increasing from Sunday onward.
For today, the weather will be mostly clear during the morning hours, although occasional patches of increased cloud cover may develop. The sea will be calm or slightly choppy.
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 35°C inland, 27–31°C along the coasts, and up to 24°C in the mountains. Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, and sea conditions will gradually become calmer.
Overnight temperatures will fall to around 19°C inland, 17–20°C in coastal areas, and about 14°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the weather is expected to remain mostly sunny with occasional cloudiness. Temperatures will gradually rise through the weekend.
