On January 10th, Cyprus is expected to experience rain with hail and wet snow in the mountains
According to the Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department, on Wednesday, January 10th, the island is experiencing a decrease in atmospheric pressure.
Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be predominantly cloudy, with brief showers and thunderstorms, initially in the western half of the island and then in other regions. Hail is possible during thunderstorms, and wet snow may fall in the highlands.
According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime air temperature will rise to 18°C in the inland and coastal areas and drop to 6°C in the mountainous regions.
By evening, variable cloudiness is expected, with possible isolated showers and thunderstorms, especially in the west, north, and east. Wet snow is anticipated in the mountainous areas.
The air temperature will decrease to around 9°C in the inland areas, 10°C on the coast, and 1°C in the mountainous regions, where the formation of local frosts is expected.
Until Friday, the temperature will continue to fluctuate around the midweek level and approach the seasonal average values. However, on Saturday, the temperature will slightly decrease and be slightly below the seasonal average values for the season.
