On January 11th, rain and snow are expected in the mountains of Troodos in Cyprus
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Thursday, January 11th, the island is experiencing weak low pressure.
Today, in the first half of the day, increased cloudiness will bring isolated showers, and local thunderstorms are also possible. Snow or wet snow is expected on the highest peaks of Troodos.
According to the meteorological forecast, the daytime air temperature will rise to 19°C in the inland and coastal areas and to 6°C in the mountainous regions. By the evening, increased cloudiness is expected, and isolated showers will occur mainly in the west and north. Snow or wet snow is expected on the highest peaks of Troodos.
The air temperature will drop to about 7°C in the inland areas, 11°C on the coast, and 2°C in the mountainous regions, where the formation of local frost is expected.
On Friday, the air temperature will remain at the Thursday level, and on Saturday, it will decrease. On Sunday, it will be at the Saturday level and will remain slightly above the average climatic values.
