Cyclone Coral Brings Cold and Windy Weather to Cyprus: Forecast for February 21
The Republic of Cyprus Meteorology Department reports that the cold cyclone Coral continues to affect the region on Friday, February 21, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures and stronger winds.
The morning will be mostly cloudy, with occasional rain and snowfall in the mountains and some foothill areas.
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will reach around 10°C inland, 12°C along the coast, and just 1°C in the mountains, where frost will persist.
By the evening, skies will be partly cloudy. Showers are possible along the coast, while snowfall is expected in the mountains. Temperatures will drop to around 2°C inland, 5°C on the coast, and -4°C in the mountains, where frost will continue in some areas. As of the latest update, the snow depth in Troodos was three centimeters.
Saturday is expected to be especially cold, with partly cloudy skies and occasional rain and snowfall in the mountains.
In the coming days, temperatures will drop further and remain low until Monday.
