Drift Neu Motorsport Festival will take place in Cyprus from 3 to 9 November
The Drift Neu Motorsport Festival will be held in Cyprus from 3 to 9 November at the Neu Event Park and will become the final event of the season, the organizers' press service reported.
The event includes a display of classic cars, training sessions and competitions in gymkhana and drifting. The organizers expect a record attendance — more than 5,000 spectators.
Training will start on 1 November; on this day a classic car show is planned. The festival program includes training and competitions in classic gymkhana, full drifting days in semi-pro and pro categories, as well as the final drift challenge.
For the first time, a women's category will be introduced. More than 100 students will participate in the semi-pro category, and world-class athletes will compete in the pro division.
Official festival calendar: 3 November — auto show and opening with a concert; 4 November — classic gymkhana training; 5 November — classic gymkhana race; 6 November — drift championship training; 7 November — semi-pro drift championship semifinals; 8 November — pro finals; 9 November — Drift Neu Drift Challenge.
The event is aimed at a wide audience of motorsport enthusiasts and is expected to contribute to the development of motorsport in Cyprus.
