Noticeable Cooling Expected in Cyprus Starting Friday
The meteorological project Kitasweather warns that starting Friday, Cyprus will experience a significant drop in temperature, especially in the central part of the island, in the mountainous and foothill areas, as well as in the north and east, reports OmegaLive on September 16, 2025.
No significant weather changes are expected until Thursday — temperatures remain above seasonal norms. From late Thursday night, winds from the north-northeast will begin to strengthen, reaching peak intensity on Friday. In the southern part of the island, the temperature drop will be less noticeable.
The atmospheric air will become drier, leading to a significant decrease in dew point and a reduction in the feeling of stuffiness compared to previous days. From Sunday, a gradual increase in temperature is forecasted, but it will not return to the levels of previous days.
For residents of the island, this means cooler weather in the indicated areas and stronger winds from late Thursday evening through Friday; it is recommended to consider these changes when planning outdoor activities. All data is based on the short-term forecast from Kitasweather and the OmegaLive publication of September 16, 2025.
