In Cyprus, 10 parks are being built and renovated under the TALEIA 2021–2027 program

On November 4, 2025, the publication Simerini reported that under the TALEIA 2021–2027 Political Cohesion Program in Cyprus, ten projects are being implemented to create and renovate parks with a total budget of around €55 million, co-financed by the EU, the state budget, and local authorities.
The largest project was the transformation of the old GSP Stadium in Nicosia into a green area and recreational space with an amphitheater, café, and connections to the public transport network; the project, with a budget of €27.3 million, was completed at the beginning of 2025. A 3 km long environmental education linear park along the Yalia River with an area of 24,000 m² is being developed for €5.6 million and is planned to be completed at the beginning of 2027; it will connect the municipalities of Idalion, Pera Chorio, and Nisu.
In Larnaca, the renovation of the Pattichio Park (€6.6 million, completion — early 2026) is underway. In Larnaca, the municipal "Salina" Park with an area of 14,600 m² was also completed for €3.2 million (November 2024). In the Larnaca district, a multifunctional park is being built in Tsiakkileros (€2.3 million, completion — end of 2025). In Limassol, a park on Hogen Street opened (€2.3 million, August 2024), and in the Agiis Ioannis area, the landscaping near Aetos Stadium was completed (€1.1 million, May 2025).
In Ayia Napa, a 27,500 m² urban multifunctional park with artificial water and a children's area is being created (€4.3 million, completion in 2026). In Sotira, a sports and recreation complex with an area of 3,000 m² has been built (€0.9 million). The linear park in Acheritou (€1 million, 5,200 m²) provides pedestrian routes, lighting, and solves stormwater problems; completion is scheduled for March 2026.
