Cyprus court sentences 19-year-old to two years for Larnaca kiosk robbery
In Cyprus, on April 1, 2026, a court sentenced a 19-year-old man to two years in prison for his involvement in a kiosk robbery in Larnaca committed on March 29, 2025.
According to the investigation, around 3:30 AM, three masked individuals entered the kiosk, threatened the 25-year-old clerk, and stole cash from the register. During the investigation, one of the suspects was identified by a police officer.
An arrest warrant was issued, and the suspect was subsequently detained following successive court rulings on March 30 and April 5, 2025. The case was referred to the Larnaca District Court on April 9, 2025; the suspect remained in custody. The time spent in pre-trial detention has been credited toward the total sentence.
