Cyprus Imposes Temporary Ban on Drone Usage
The Ministry of Transport of Cyprus has issued an order prohibiting the use of all drones over the territory of the Republic of Cyprus and within its territorial waters.
Harris Antoniades, head of the air traffic control service, stated that the decision was made to keep the skies clear and prevent interference with safety and defense systems.
According to him, there is currently close coordination between military and civil services aimed at protecting the airspace.
Meanwhile, airports continue to operate as usual.
