Six foreigners detained near military facilities in Cyprus
Cyprus police have detained six Bangladeshi nationals discovered near military facilities in Avgorou.
The incident occurred on March 22, when National Guard personnel reported the presence of unknown individuals near military installations.
Following a check, it was revealed that two of the detainees were in the country illegally. All six were brought before the Famagusta Court in Paralimni, which ordered them to be held in custody for six days.
According to police spokesperson Kyriakos Kyriakou, there are currently no signs that the detainees' actions were malicious, and the case is not related to espionage.
Upon completion of the investigation, all detainees are expected to be deported.
