Women in Cyprus plead guilty to €300,000 fraud
In Limassol, two women have pleaded guilty in a major fraud case involving the sale of real estate in the occupied territories.
The 44-year-old and 53-year-old defendants had previously denied their guilt; however, during the latest court hearing, they changed their position and agreed to the charges filed against them.
According to the investigation, between 2023 and 2025, they defrauded more than 18 people—mostly relatives—extorting approximately €300,000 from them.
The women promised to assist with obtaining compensation for property or its sale, demanding money for "evaluations" and paperwork. One of the accused posed as a lawyer with the necessary connections, while the other acted as a middleman for investors.
Funds were transferred in cash or via the Revolut platform.
Following the guilty plea, some of the charges were dropped, the investigation was concluded, and the court will issue a sentence at a later date.
