Elderly Woman Drowns at Paphos Beach
Another tragedy has occurred at a water site in Cyprus. An elderly woman drowned at Paphos Beach.
According to the police press service, the tragedy happened early this morning. The woman was found around 6:00 AM, floating unconscious at Geroskipou Beach.
Other swimmers pulled her from the water and called an ambulance, but despite first aid efforts, she could not be saved. The deceased has been identified as an elderly local resident, a Greek Cypriot.
The exact cause of death will be determined during the autopsy.
