Strong Winds Create Dangerous Road Conditions in Kourion Area
The Civil Defense Service has issued a warning for the Kourion municipality area after strong winds caused trees and various objects to fall onto the roadway, creating hazardous driving conditions.
According to authorities, the incidents occurred on Saturday, March 14, amidst adverse weather conditions.
Municipal services are already on-site conducting road clearing operations and addressing the aftermath of the storm to restore safe traffic flow.
Earlier, the Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued a yellow warning for expected heavy rains, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. It remains in effect from 07:00 AM Saturday until 07:00 AM Sunday, March 15.
