Dangerous situation on a Limassol highway: a pickup truck was carrying unsecured metal cargo
Early on Sunday morning, February 8, 2026, a serious incident threatening road safety was recorded on the motorway in the Limassol area.
According to available information, a pickup truck was driving along the highway carrying long metal rods (reinforcement bars) that extended significantly beyond the truck bed. The cargo was poorly secured, creating a real danger for other road users.
A video recorded while the vehicle was in motion shows the metal rods bending heavily and swaying, which in the event of any sudden stop or maneuver could have led to a serious traffic accident.
Such cases once again raise the issue of control over cargo transportation, especially on high-speed road sections, where any violation can result in severe consequences.
