British citizens are recovering from Dengue fever in Cyprus
Two British citizens have contracted dengue fever in the Republic of Cyprus. A mother and her daughter have already undergone treatment, are recovering, and will soon be discharged from the hospital.
According to Greek media citing a spokesperson for the State Health Services Organization, the woman and her daughter are receiving treatment in a specialized infectious diseases department at the Greek Hospital in Nicosia. Medical professionals have no concerns about their health. It is expected that they will be discharged from the medical facility soon.
A representative of the health service emphasized that all necessary precautions have been taken in connection with the detection of the disease in Cyprus.
He also noted that there were no concerns among healthcare professionals due to the nature of the disease, as it is not transmitted directly from person to person.
