Police urgently escorted a family with an injured child to Nicosia Hospital

Cyprus Police promptly responded to an emergency call received on Sunday afternoon, January 25. The father of a two-and-a-half-year-old child asked for help, reporting that his son had suffered a serious head injury after a fall and required immediate medical attention.
According to OmegaLive, the family was traveling from one of the communities of the Nicosia district to Nicosia General Hospital, but due to the urgency of the situation, the man contacted the police and requested an escort.
Officers of the police “Z” unit immediately joined the operation:
- maintained constant telephone contact with the driver,
- intercepted the vehicle at the Anthoupolis roundabout,
- and escorted it without delay directly to the emergency department.
The entire journey took about seven minutes. The child was immediately handed over to the medical team to receive the necessary care.
The police emphasized that such cases clearly demonstrate how important rapid coordination between citizens and emergency services is when it comes to saving human lives.
