On Cyprus, the police engaged in a pursuit with gunfire
On Cyprus, the police engaged in a pursuit with gunfire early this morning. A suspect attempted to escape the pursuit.
The incident occurred around 09:00 in the Idalion area. The police received information about a suspicious person in a car. Upon arrival at the scene, the police found a 32-year-old man behind the wheel of a car matching the description.
Despite orders to stop, the driver attempted to flee in the direction of Cheri. In order to stop the fugitive, a warning shot was fired into the air. After some time, the car was successfully blocked.
During the search, drugs, a knife, and tools for burglary were found in the possession of the detained individual. The suspect has been arrested.
