Limassol Police Arrest Boiler Thieves: Drugs Found During Arrest
The Limassol Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the theft of water heaters. During their apprehension, the suspects attempted to flee, and drugs were found in their possession.
According to the police press office, a resident of Limassol reported that between January 21 and 28, 2025, unknown thieves had stolen nine water heaters and three water pumps from a construction site. Following the investigation, police were able to track down the suspects.
Around 11 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle carrying the suspects for inspection. Three of the individuals ran from the car in an attempt to escape. Two of them were quickly apprehended. During the chase, they attempted to dispose of two packages of methamphetamine weighing 12 grams along with two electronic scales.
The driver and another suspect initially managed to escape, but both were later tracked down and taken into custody.
As part of the investigation, police searched an abandoned building in Limassol, where they discovered five of the stolen water heaters.
