Cyprus launches free milk program for families receiving social support

A joint initiative by the Social Welfare Services and the company Charalambidis Christis has been launched on the island: families who meet the criteria for social support will be able to receive fresh milk via vouchers at retail stores across the country.
The vouchers are issued and distributed through social services and can be used in any region — it is sufficient to present the voucher at the checkout. Under the terms of the program, each family is entitled to 1 liter of milk per week, with no additional payment required.
The project has been in effect since early December 2025 and is designed to last six months. Milk supplies are provided by Charalambidis Christis, which works with retail chains and points of sale throughout Cyprus.
