Paphos Police Arrested Fleeing Drug Dealer
Paphos police arrested a 28-year-old man suspected of possessing over 12 kg of drugs in Embe. Earlier, during a shootout pursuit, two men evaded law enforcement officers.
Recall that on Tuesday, the anti-narcotics squad received anonymous information about a large batch of drugs in rural Paphos and attempted to detain two suspects.
During the car chase, the suspects fled despite warning shots, ramming four cars along the way.
During the pursuit, the driver threw a bag with 1.114 kg of marijuana onto the roof of an abandoned house.
According to the police, later, the anti-narcotics squad conducted a search in the apartment of one of the fugitives. In the Paphos apartment of the 28-year-old man, a total of 12 kg of marijuana and 1 kg of cocaine were found. The police also seized around 75,000 euros.
One of the suspects fleeing from the police was arrested on Thursday after receiving an anonymous tip. The drug enforcement department continues the investigation.
