The President of Cyprus Travels to Athens for a Meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece
The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, is traveling to Athens today. Tomorrow, he is scheduled to meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Cypriot delegation, led by President Christodoulides, will depart for Athens early this morning. At 10:30, they will participate in a memorial event titled "Yiannos Kranidiotis: 25 Years Later, the Vision Lives On," organized in collaboration with the Union of Journalists (ESIEA) and the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens. President Christodoulides is set to deliver the opening speech at the event.
At 21:00, the President will attend a concert titled "I’ll Tell You: Freedom Tonight! The Bells Will Ring Again..." This event, marking the 50th anniversary of historical events on the island, is organized by the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus, the Federation of Cypriot-Greek Organizations (OCOE), and the "I Do Not Forget" Association.
On Thursday, September 19, at 11:00, President Christodoulides will hold a private meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Mansion in Athens.
Later that evening, at 20:00, President Christodoulides, accompanied by his wife, Philippa Karsera, will attend a dinner hosted by the Cyprus Shipowners’ Association at the "Cyprus Tower." The President will also deliver a welcome speech during the event.
The delegation is expected to return to Cyprus on the morning of September 20.
