Interpol-Wanted Foreign National Arrested at Larnaca Airport
A foreign national on Interpol’s most-wanted list was arrested at Larnaca Airport, and extradition proceedings are now in motion.
According to the police, the 39-year-old man was detained yesterday afternoon upon arriving from abroad. Authorities confirmed that he is wanted by the United States under an Interpol Red Notice for serious cyber and financial crimes.
A provisional arrest warrant had already been issued, and the suspect is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court today as the extradition process formally begins.
The man's name and nationality have not been made public.
