Rare Bird Spotted in Cyprus for the First Time in a Decade
In Limassol, a rare appearance of the Cinereous Bunting was recorded — a species that, according to ornithologists, appears in Cyprus approximately once every ten years.
The bird was spotted, among other places, on the grounds of the Kourion archaeological site, where it was located near the ancient stadium. The unusual discovery quickly attracted the attention of photographers and birdwatching enthusiasts.
Experts note that such observations are important for studying migration routes and rare bird species that occasionally appear on the island.
