Parents filed a complaint with the police about an aggressive primary school teacher

Parents of students at one of Nicosia’s primary schools contacted the police, demanding action against a teacher whose behavior, according to the children, goes beyond acceptable limits. The reason was numerous complaints from pupils who reported psychological pressure and physical impact from the teacher.
The children claim that the teacher regularly uses humiliating expressions and intimidates students. There are also reports of physical aggression — from harsh pulling by the arms and clothing to attempts to grab them by the throat. After the incidents, some children said that they no longer want to attend her classes.
The parents have not only contacted the police, but are also demanding that the Ministry of Education and the school administration immediately look into the situation and temporarily suspend the teacher. The authorities have already started an internal investigation.
