The Christmas “Adopt a Family” campaign is seeing a lower response than expected
This year in Cyprus, the Christmas charity campaign “Adopt a Family” has faced a noticeable decline in public interest. Organizers note that the number of individuals and companies willing to support families in need during the holiday season is lower than in previous years.
According to the campaign’s initiators, more and more potential participants are themselves experiencing financial difficulties amid rising prices and general economic uncertainty. This has directly affected the volume of assistance: some families that traditionally received support at Christmas risk being left without essential help this year.
Despite this, the campaign is continuing. Organizers emphasize that even a small contribution — food, gift vouchers, or basic goods — can make a significant difference for families in difficult circumstances. They urge those who are able not to delay participation and remind that the essence of the initiative lies in solidarity and mutual support, especially during the festive period.
