Cyprus Welcomed 3.73 Million Tourists in 2024 So Far
Cyprus has seen a significant increase in international travelers. In the first ten months of 2024, the island welcomed 3.73 million tourists. This marks a 4.6% rise compared to the same period in 2023 and a 0.81% increase compared to the record year of 2019.
According to a report by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat), the total number of tourists from January to October reached 3,727,196, compared to 3,562,417 in the same months of 2023.
In October 2024 alone, Cyprus recorded 459,106 arrivals, setting a new record for the month. The number of arrivals in October 2024 increased by 7.7% compared to October 2023 and by 5.2% compared to the same month in 2019.
The United Kingdom remains the top source of tourists to Cyprus, accounting for 36.3% of arrivals in October, with 166,588 visitors. Poland follows with 8.1% (37,010 visitors), while Germany accounts for 7.6% (34,822 visitors).
Other significant contributors include Israel with 5.2% (24,088 visitors) and Sweden with 4.1% (18,713 visitors).
