Cypriot Family in the UK Urgently Seeks Stem Cell Donor for Teenager
A Cypriot family residing in the United Kingdom is urgently seeking a stem cell donor for their 19-year-old daughter, Natassa. They are reaching out to the Cypriot community, both in the UK and Cyprus, in hopes of finding a match.

Natassa was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. To survive, she requires immediate intensive treatment and a stem cell transplant. Her family has issued an emotional plea, asking as many people as possible to register as potential donors.
Natassa’s health struggles began last Christmas when she experienced a sudden seizure. After months of medical tests and a bone marrow biopsy, she was initially diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in April. However, her condition has since progressed to acute lymphoblastic leukemia, making the need for a donor even more urgent.
To aid in the search, Natassa’s sister, Sofia, has launched a campaign in collaboration with two non-profit organizations that specialize in connecting cancer and blood disorder patients with suitable stem cell donors.
“We are doing everything we can to find a match for Natassa so she can receive the life-saving treatment she desperately needs,” Sofia shared. “You would be giving my family and me the most incredible gift imaginable. We are profoundly grateful to everyone who registers to help.”
The family is appealing particularly to the Greek Cypriot community, as tissue type compatibility is often higher within the same ethnic group.
